Victor Sitali: African Hues

An exhibition for the Zambian (but Dubai-based) artist in the hotel’s lobby (why don’t more hotels do this?) that promises “a wide range of bold artistic styles, mediums, and themes”. Sitali says he takes inspiration from” the colourful nature of Africa’s vegetation, and the beautiful colours of African fabrics in my country Zambia. Mostly worn by women, the popular and respectable clothing called “Chitenge” is a strong theme in my collection …” To 31 August.
