Timur D’Vatz: Arcadian Dreams

A summer-long exhibition of work from one of the gallery’s stalwarts, Timur D’Vatz, featuring his signature mix of stylised figures and symbolic settings that owe something to mediaeval European tapestry, something to Byzantine decoration. The title refers to the dawn of an early mythology, located in a primeval forest, manifested through magical flora and fantastic beasts; “there are starry skies and gleaming comets guiding both travellers and wild animals to the source of life, which appears in the form of a Fountain or a Magical Flower. This is the focal point from where life and knowledge originate …” To 10 September.
