Symposium: In the Heart of Another Country
Art scholars and museum leaders are invited to take part in this English-language symposium on representation and exhibition-making, sustainability and accessibility, and the significance of public collections. It’s held in tandem with the current exhibition In the Heart of Another Country: The Diasporic Imagination Rises (on view until 24 September); the most extensive presentation of works from the Sharjah Art Foundation Collection to date – more than 150 artworks by over 60 artists – the exhibition explores the concept of home, of longing and belonging.
