Saadiyat Nights: Mariah Carey

This new open-air musical event series (in a purpose-built venue that will “boast a stunning backdrop of Saadiyat Island vistas” – though otherwise we’re not sure exactly where it is) kicks off with a concert from the best-selling American singer. Her famous five-octave vocal range is undimmed by time – she’s in her mid 50s now – and she continues to influence vocal styles like merging hip-hop with pop. Could be a good night.
