Nika Neelova: Beghost

A solo exhibition for the London-based artist that draws inspiration from Buhais Geology Park and Jebel Buhais archaeological site in Al Madam. Neelova’s sculptures, crafted from a variety of materials including glass, clay, and fossilized shark teeth, offer a speculative view of the ancient marine life that once inhabited the region; each piece tells a story of transformation and decay, merging chemistry, alchemy and geology to mirror the constant flux of material exchanges that define our world, engaging in dialogue with fossils from archaeologist Nirmal Rajah’s collection.
