LAST CHANCE To Know Malaysia is to Love Malaysia: Major Highlights from The AFK Collection

A group show by pioneering first-generation Malaysian contemporary artists, selected from The AFK Collection — the most comprehensive collection of Malaysian contemporary art from the 1980s to the present. Exhbiited artists include Ahmad Shukri Mohammed, Ahmad Fuad Osman, Ali Nurazmal, Anniketyni Madian, Fauzan Omar, Hamir Soib, Masnoor Ramli, Susyilawati Sulaiman, Yusof Ghani, and Zulkifli Yusoff.

The featured artists have witnessed Malaysia’s transformation from a largely agrarian, newly independent country to a modern, dynamic nation. As well as highlighting the individual artists, the exhibition will address critical aspects of that journey; by contextualising these works within broader social and political frameworks, the exhibition aims to create a broader understanding of contemporary Malaysian society.
