The second solo exhibition at this gallery for the Iran-born, NY-based artist features new paintings that revels in transplanting elements within themselves. Hoseini says “the figures have moved from architecture to landscape”; so the flat figure expands and multiplies in rounded limb, breast, buttock, organ, and thigh … Ground, now rectangular, sometimes rounded, is repossessed by this swell.
