Faraj Suleiman Live in Concert

For his full UAE debut Suleiman takes to the stage with a full band to performing selection from his albums, including his breakthrough Better Than Berlin and his most recent release Maryam. His music blends jazz, rock, classical, and Arabic influences into a sound that is unmistakably his own.

If you were born in a Palestinian village, a career as a jazz pianist and composer is no straightforward journey; Maryam is Suleiman at his most introspective and cinematic, ranging from love and romance to a darker expression of transformation and grief. The melancholy is tangible, but so is the warmth. His music may be instrumental, but it tells us stories – his own, but also those of all Palestinians too.
