Abu Dhabi is getting a new âcuratorial platform dedicated to showcasing emerging artistic practices and cultivating new collector communitiesâ, which in practice means opportunities for both early-stage artists to show work and âa new generation of collectorsâ to buy it. Hyphen Contemporaryâs founder Cecelia Jihu-Sara says she âwanted to bring fresh energy to both sides of the art worldâ: Hyphenâs first show, a brief popup, is at Region in MiZa with five UAE-based artists, none older than 31 â Rayan Aljneibi, Layla Doueidi, Sara Kamar, Martin Ong Yambao, and Husna Samer.
