Closing event: Plaited Time – A Talk + Sonic Interlude with Lubaina Himid, Magda Stawarska, Omar Kholeif

Join Turner Prize-winning artist Lubaina Himid (above right) and collaborator Magda Stawarska (left) as they talk about their rather good SAF exhibition Plaited Time / Deep Water with the exhibition’s curator, Dr Omar Kholeif. They will delve into the role of the sea, Sharjah’s architecture and urban topography, and seats of unturned memory in their work; interspersed through the talk are sonic interludes and sound fragments that inspired the context and making of the exhibition. After the talk they’ll lead a walkthrough of the exhibition, which closes on 28 January.
