Abdulrahim Salim is currently showing work at the gallery based on two decades of interest in the folk tale (ends 15 February); this performance piece brings the story of Muheera to life. Blending regional folklore, storytelling, and art using charcoal and acrylic, Salim aims to explore the human struggle with destiny and cultural histories of gender and patriarchy embedded in the region’s history.
The live performance (6.30 to 7pm) will be followed by a Q&A and a reception.
