Gustave Caillebotte: The Unknown Impressionist

Stéphanie Chardeau-Botteri, art historian, great-grandniece of the artist, and author of a study of Caillebotte of the same name as the talk (it was shortlisted for the 2024 Goncourt Prize for biographies) discusses the life and legacy of the “unknown Impressionist” – celebrated in his time, gradually relegated to the back rooms of art history, now undergoing a renaissance in popularity and reappraisal of his legacy.
