The Egyptian soprano Laura Mekhail, the first Arab recipient of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation / Community Jameel Scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music, is accompanied for this Global Notes evening by Amira Fouad on piano in a programme of classical arias from Puccini, Rossini, Handel and Bizet plus Arabic songs by Farid Al Atrash and Mohammed Abdel Wahab.
