Urban Market Festival

Originally launched in Dubai in 2021 to promote sustainable thrift shopping, this event arrives in Abu Dhabi with a makeover and what looks like a more commercial bent – the 40+ vendors do include thrift and vintage fashion, but there’s also new streetwear, accessories, nail art and hair braiding, and “homegrown brands” (maybe there isn’t enough upcyclable/recyclable stuff to go round) – and a specific festival vibe. There’s all-day music from top talents like DJ Beth Marie, Ayesha Reid, DJ LongLiveAce, Olwyn Murray, DJ Crown Prince and more – check the website for the schedule – and a few pop-up food stalls too. Opens 3pm to midnight on 8 and 9 November, 3-9pm on 10 November.
