UAENO: Harmony

A concert that suggests one of the reasons for the UAE National Orchestra’s formation – the conversation between Arabic and Western musical traditions, delivered through classic Arabic and Western orchestral formations. It features the world premiere of Richard Dubugnon’s Double Concerto for Ney and Cello, conducted by Ahmed Farag with soloists Rami Ourabi (ney) and Sary Khalifé (cello).

After the interval, oud virtuoso Naseer Shamma joins the Orchestra for Autumn Leaves, From the Memory and The Seven Lights, followed by his Concerto for Oud and Orchestra.
