The final two performances (at 5pm and 8pm) of this “sexy, fast-paced, brutal, funny and at times moving dissection of post-millennium relationships … With echoes of Patrick Marber’s Closer, torn is about the impossibility and possibility of love in a modern world where choices abound and nothing is forever”. Written and directed by award winning Australian writer/director Alex Broun, assisted by Alexander Rondel, torn is set in modern-day New York, with four people in various stages of connection – lawyer Susan (Nadine Basiony) is in a relationship with advertising executive Cade (Osman Aboubakr: that’s them above), and Gerry (Basel Yafi), a voice-over artist, is in love with Susan’s PA Daniella (Kethy Kist).
