Semi-autobiographical drama of Palestinian life under Israeli occupation, chronicling the experiences of a Nazareth-based family from the 1948 Arab-Israeli War to the early 21st century. Structured in four historical episodes, the narrative traces generational struggles with displacement, military occupation, and daily absurdities, employing minimal dialogue, Suleiman’s characteristic deadpan humour, and symbolic imagery to highlight themes of endurance and ironic resistance – all without being overtly didactic.
