Tchaikovsky’s all-time seasonal favourite is a Dubai Opera staple for the time of year, delivered on this occasion by the Astrakhan Theater Opera and Ballet – one of the newer Russian classical companies, but one with a decent reputation for traditional works danced in the classical manner.
