The Mummy: dir Stephen Sommers (1999)

Formulaic but neatly done. Adventurer Rick O’Connell (Brendan Fraser) teams up with librarian Evelyn (Rachel Weisz) and a motley archaeological crew to conquer the vengeful reincarnation of Egyptian priest Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo) for 124 minutes of non-stop action with some great visual effects.
