The Little Match Girl | An Experimental Cine-Concert

The 1928 Jean Renoir/Jean Tédesco version of a Hans Christian Anderson story of an impoverished match-seller who inadvertently dreams of a kind of fantastic alternative reality. It’s presented as a cine-concert performed by Joseph Junior Sfeir, Patrik Abi Abdallah and Renata Sabella of Frequent Defect and co produced by Alserkal and Metroplis in collaboration with Cinema Akil and Irtijal, the oldest music festival of Beiru; the band will work on interpreting the films through a full-length live set against and in sync with the scenes from the film.
