The Fugitive: dir Andrew Davis (1993)

Harrison Ford is on top form as the Chicago surgeon framed for the murder of his wife who aims to prove his innocence by leading his pursuers (led by Tommy Lee Jones, playing Tommy Lee Jones) to the man who actually committed the crime. The Cinema Space blurb calls it “a stellar showcase for Ford’s pathos, physicality, and intensity”; it’s also a breathless thriller with some brilliant action set pieces that transcends the original TV series by a country mile. Recommended, especially in this newly restored print.
