The Artist as Gatherer: Mapping Meaning

A two-day workshop (same times tomorrow) with Amparo Baquerizas Carreras and her photobook Gauchito Querido (2026), which will be used as a case study for alternative cartography and the concept of ‘artist as gatherer’. Participants will explore how artistic research can be considered creative methodology; they will learn to identify patterns and relationships through systems thinking, and will examine practical strategies for translating research insights into concept development and meaning-making for visual storytelling.
