Sooshi Mango: Off the Boat in Dubai

The long-established Australian comedy troupe (two brothers, and their best mate) comes loaded with classic comedy references – the likes of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, the Marx Brothers Laurel and Hardy – and an act that is usually rooted in their ethnic (Italian and Greek ) heritage, with a dash of the pointed satire about racial prejudice and modern-day social mechanisms in Australia. There’s a podcast and a feature film coming, apparently, but in the meantime we have the live show: expect slick, effective, well-timed comedy. This show opens the Dubai Comedy Festival. Recommended.
