Shakespeare for Kidz: A Midsummer Night’s Dream

First staged to critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Festival in the late 1990s, Shakespeare 4 Kidz’ A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a lively, funny and accessible musical retelling of Shakespeare’s timeless classic. The comed follows the Duke of Athens as he prepares to marry the Queen of the Amazons; meanwhile, six local tradesmen rehearse a play for the royal celebrations, four young lovers flee into the woods with marriage plans of their own, the feuding Fairy King and Queen unleash chaos on the mortal world, and the mischievous sprite Puck is keen to cause mayhem … so what could possibly go wrong?

The S4K (Shakespeare 4 Kidz) team has been bringing the world of Shakespeare to young people around the world for more than 25 years, so far with six brilliantly accessible musical adaptations that make for an ideal introduction to Shakespeare.

For Abu Dhabi there are two performances on each of three days (19, 20, 21 October) at 9am and 11.45am (it lasts about 90 minutes).
