Searching for Pierrot

A return for this single-hander, written by and (we think) performed by Gillian Rhodes, who is really very good at this storytelling-with-performance sort of thing. This time it’s a coming-of-age tale of a young boy in the late 19th century; a chance encounter with the famous clown Pierrot “sets off a chain of events that leads the boy through the city, from the freak show to the opera and all the way to the future … He meets a host of colourful and mysterious characters that prompt him to question what it really means to be remarkable, and what it costs”. Recommended.
