NOMAD Abu Dhabi
The fair for upmarket collectible design, contemporary art, jewellery and crafts returns to the iconic decommissioned Terminal 1 of the old Abu Dhabi Airport with more than 50 exhibitors and a much expanded programme.
“This year, we have a better understanding of this remarkable building so we can be more ambitious with it” says NOMAD’s co-founder and director Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte. As well as the commercial offerings, there’s an expanded institutional programme for nonprofit initiatives, cultural projects and institutions from the UAE and beyond – among them including Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, Design Commission Abu Dhabi (DCAD), and House of Artisans in collaboration with the Institut du Monde Arabe. There’s also a programme of talks and workshops presented by BGRE (formerly Brookfield Properties).
The fair will be open 19-22 November (plus 18 November for a VIP invitation-only preview) at 1pm to 9pm (8pm on the last day).
