National Youth Orchestra Camerata and Soloists

The Global Notes series – the sponsored replacement for Amira Fouad’s long-running Opera Studio recital programme, and now presented by Dubai Opera with Encore Performing Arts and Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai – continues with the National Youth Orchestra in a chamber concert programme of favourites ranging from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Handel’s Water Music to Gershwin’s Summertime, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, and modern film scores.

The soloists will include the prize winners from the NYO Solo Concerto Competition 2024: Alexandra Derkaloustian (First Prize), Renée Youssef (Second Prize), Oscar Lucero Beschi (Third Prize) and Sian Willgoss (Most Promising Talent).

This year marks the sixth anniversary of the NYO. The orchestra is led by Amira Fouad of Encore as its artistic director and Jonathan Barrett as conductor.
