Nathan Ellis: work.txt

This is a participative play about a person in an unnamed city who has stopped working; the audience must work together to figure out why. Performed entirely by the audience, work.txt – a sell-out show staged in nine countries in 11 languages – puts the spotlight on urban, contemporary work culture.

This is part of the fifth edition of Perform Sharjah, Sharjah Art Foundation’s season of curated performances that serve as an engaging space for exploring, remembering and imagining – “treating the body as a site of artistic inquiry, the programme shifts fluidly between intimate reflection and collective experience”.
