Jazziyat feat. Banah

A first of its kind, Jazziyat is a musical revival that brings a contemporary twist to classical renditions by the musical giants of the Arab world, Banah’s ability to sing in both English and Arabic as well as various genres including jazz, blues, classic rock, pop, and traditional Arabic has enabled a unique standing that differentiates her from many other artists in the Arabic-speaking world; for Jazziyat, the Bahraini-Palestinian vocalist is joined by a quartet led by the UK-based trumpet player Quentin Collins, who is also musical director of the project (which had a sold-out premiere at the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room for the EFG London Jazz Festival late in 2022).
