Jaurim, the Wonderland: dir Kim Ji-hwan (2023)

One of South Korea’s top bands, Jaurim, celebrated their 25th anniversary with a special album featuring a live concert and a chorus made up of 117 fans. This film documents the making of the album, intercut with personal anecdotes from the band’s members and the spirit that makes Jaurim stand out from the rest of the K muisc universe.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the film’s director, Kim Ji-hwan.

This film screens as part of the ninth edition of the Korean Film Festival, presented by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Cultural Center. This year’s festival has the theme ‘Music’ and showcases a selection of Korean films that highlight the power of music in storytelling.
