Janine Harouni: Man’oushe

The UK-based Lebanese-American comedian won plenty of ‘best newcomer’ awards when she started gigging five years ago, and Man’oushe – her second full-length solo show, first seen at Edinburgh in 2023 and now touring – has been winning lots more plaudits. “The smoothest of standups offers polished punchlines in a warm and perfectly wrought hour” summarised the Guardian review, which also called her “the smoothest, most controlled of comics”and commended “a warm and entertaining offering” about marriage, parenthood, and bing a family. Highly recommended.
