The second performance for this irreverent high-energy high-physicality parody of Lord of the Rings (the film rather than the novel, in fact). Intricate Foley work is matched by the sheer skill of the actors and the increasingly manic complexity of the situations – the Mines of Moria, a gloriously OTT death for Boromir, and four hobbits being played by three people are standout moments, but there are many … (Why ‘Fly, You Fools’? It’s what Gandalf said to the company just as the Balrog dragged him down. He didn’t mean flap your wings, obvs – it was ‘fly’ in the sense of ‘flee’.)

This is one of three fringe-adjacent shows at the Junction today, playing along with La Lezione di Teatro | The Acting Class and Hold on to Your Butts as part of Quoz Arts Fest – so you’ll have to buy a ticket to get into the festival (one day pass AED 100, two-day pass AED 200) as well as a ticket for the show.
