Fête de la Musique

The Alliance Française organisation runs an annual Fête de la Musique in most of its locations around the world, with the local management getting to choose the music – almost always Francophone performers, of course, but none the worse for that. Dubai promises a “vibrant evening [surely ‘day’] of sound, rhythm, and global vibes … bringing together a line up of brilliant talents from different countries, all living in Dubai, for a spectacular journey through gypsy jazz (11am to midday), Arabic-Indian fusion (2-3pm), and Chansons Françaises (6-7pm). And It’s free, because “music is for everyone!”
