Faces and Voices of Malta: A Mediterranean Odyssey

Traditional music from Malta comes to the Cultural Foundation’s outdoor amphitheatre, presented in partnership with the Embassy of Malta. The evening will showcase the art of għana, a distinctive style of Maltese folk music that probably has its roots in Arabic influences (certainly the word originates with the Arabic Ghena or Ghina, meaning richness or lyricism). Two of the country’s top exponents will be accompanied by three guitarists.
