Second and final performance for his highly recommended one-hander, directed and performed by the Junction’s Gautam Goenka. As his mother battles chronic depression, a child creates a list of every thing they can think of that makes life worth living. As the child grows, so does the list. Looking back on a life of ups and downs, the man takes the audience on an inspiring journey that celebrates finding joy in the mundane and being grateful for the simple pleasures hiding all around us.
At once intimate and interactive, this touching, funny, and uplifting play (originally seen at the Junction earlier this year) chronicles life’s small joys and reveals the lengths to which we will go for those we love. The Guardian called it “one of the funniest plays you’ll ever see about depression – and possibly one of the funniest plays you’ll ever see, full stop”. Written by the English playwright/director Duncan Macmillan with actor/writer/comedian Johnny Donahoe, it sold out at three consecutive Edinburgh Festivals; it was also a big hit when the Junction did it in Dubai 18 months ago
