A second performance for Kate Hamill’s “feminist revenge fantasy” – which infuses the familiar vampire tale with post-modern wit and “a stake through the heart of toxic masculinity”, as the New York Times put it when it was first performed. “The world women inhabit in this loose, rollicking adaptation of Bram Stoker’s novel is frightening precisely because it’s not so different from our own …” It’s also great fun, a racy, action-packed narrative that should make for a highly entertaining evening. Satyen Chandiramani directs for the Junction’s resident H72 Productions.
