Down to Earth 2025

22 November 202523 November 2025
Free, but pre-register

The Jameel’s annual festival for eco-consciousness and sustainability is back for its sixth edition in the Arts Centre and across the Jaddaf Waterfront Sculpture Park. Expect activities for all ages themed around botanical, sustainable and eco-conscious living with hands-on workshops for kids, tours, talks and demonstrations, guided tours of the ongoing Jameel exhibitions (6pm and 8pm on Saturday, 6pm and 7pm on Sunday), interactive art and performances, all woven together with an eye on nature, community and conscious living.

There’s also …

> a Farmers Market (“the UAE’s first and longest-running”) with local suppliers offering fresh seasonal produce

> the Green Bazaar, with a variety of indoor and outdoor plants, eco-friendly and sustainable gifts, preloved fashion and products from local homegrown businesses if you’re looking to “shop consciously”

> the archly named Urban Market Concept in the Sculpture Park, with local vendors offering “vintage finds, streetwear, sneakers, accessories, and more”

> Faire Trade, a community-run swap shop for preowned stuff

> the essential Vinyl Souk, marketplace and meeting place for vinyl- and indie-oriented music fans. On the Saturday Vinyl Souk is also running an evening of interesting music from the likes of Aaron Kim (stalwart of the Analog Room), Vinyl Souk cofounder Jayesh, and The Radish Cheddar Experiment – Ratish from The Temple with bassist Rami Lakkis and keyboardist Nikolai Mishchencko

> the Art Jameel Shop, with a sustainability-themed collection of books and design objects.

Check out the full programme here. The Festival runs 4pm to 11pm on the Saturday, 4pm to 9pom on Sunday. It’s free, but pre-registration is required.
