Curators Talk: Salwa Mikdadi

The first in the Curators Talk talk series of the 2024-2025 academic year features art historian and curator Salwa Mikdadi, Professor of Practice in Art History at NYUAD and Founding Director and Principal Investigator of the Al Mawrid Arab Center for the Study of Art.

Prof Mikdadi will focus on her 40-year curatorial practice, drawing parallels between her exhibition-making and the political changes and shifts in the region; she will also trace the archival work that led to the establishment of the Al Mawrid Center and expand on her ongoing projects there.
