The latest in the NYUAD Art Gallery’s series of conversations with curators features Nada Raza, Director of the Alserkal Arts Foundation. She’ll be giving an overview of her curatorial journey as a divided ‘South Asian’; her PhD was on transcultural connections, particularly between the Gulf and South Asia, which should make for an interesting perspective. She will also share her quite extensive experiences with commissioning and exhibiting art; she began her career in 2005 at The Third Line in Dubai, moved to the international art curatorial team at Tate Modern, came back to Dubai for a role as Curatorial Advisor at Alserkal Avenue and then as Alserkal Arts Foundatiuon’s director.
