Carmen in Concert

An evening of the best-known arias and orchestral moments from Bizet’s evergreen opera: “the concert brings to life the spirit, passion, and dramatic intensity that have made [Carmen] one of the most beloved operas in the world … Performed as a symphonic concert, the programme places the focus entirely on the richness of Bizet’s music, the beauty of the vocal performances, and the vivid character of the orchestral score … ” The UAE National Orchestra (conducted by Ahmed Farag) performs with the Dubai Singers & The Stage House Choir (choirmaster Howard Wong); soloists are Laeticia Goepfert (Carmen), George Wanis (Don José), Fernando Araujo (Escamillo) and Luisa Mordel (Micaëla).
