Bo-ri: dir Kim Jinyu (2018)

Bo-ri, an 11-year-old girl in a seaside village, is the only family member who can hear; she becomes more and more accustomed to talking with her school friends while finding it hard to communicate with her family in sign language. She idolises her parents, but as she struggles with the everyday insecurities and challenges of growing up, a feeling of isolation starts to overcome her; Bo-ri begins to resent her ability to hear as it causes her to feel alienated from them. A simply told but deeply felt heartwarming family drama.
