Encore Presents: Benjamin Grosvenor

Something of a coup for the Encore Presents series of recitals, curated by Amira Fouad and presented with the Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai: the stunning British piano virtuoso Benjamin Grosvenor has been accumulating accolades – from reviewers (“everything Grosvenor touches turns to gold”, “a genius who has reached the height of his interpretive powers”) and in terms of awards: among others, Grosvenor has been named Gramophone’s Young Artist of the Year, won a Classical Brit Critics’ Award, and has a Diapason d’Or Jeune Talent Award. He is internationally recognised for his electrifying performances, his technical gifts, a distinctive sound and what Süddeutsche Zeitung called “the unmistakable sense of poetic immersion directed solely at the realisation of music”. (He is also an Ambassador of Music Masters, a charity dedicated to making music education accessible to all children regardless of their background, championing diversity and inclusion.) Highly recommended, even at this price …
