Dreamscape
From the press release: Dreamscape is “an immersive installation honouring the nurturing power of our Earth and emphasising the reverence it deserves as a sacred element of our existence. A sensory experience that seeks to bridge the intangible space between reality and dreams, waking life and the subconscious. A dance between survival, hand in hand with eternal loss. By combining visual art, multimedia, and live performance we invite you to share an atmosphere infused with emotion and reflection, one that fills your heart, tickles your roots and permeates every corner of experience …”
The installation comprises translucent scenery, projection, photography, sculpture, movement, soundscape, poetry, shadow and light play. The artists are curator, creative consultant and multimedia (especially video) artist Hind bin Demaithan; painter, sculptor, and installation artist Shaqayeq Arabi; Italian professional dancer and choreographer Carolina Cortesi (currently starring in Franco Dragone’s La Perle); Dubai-based journalist, creative writer, and poet Rand Al Hadethi; and Dariush Zandi, photographer, architect/urbanist, and author.
It’s all part of the COP28 programme at Total Arts gallery at the Courtyard during the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28). It runs to the end of December.
