UAENO: Romantic Masters

The UAE National Orchestra continues its active schedule with a good-looking programme of contrasting music from three great Romantic composers – lively melodies from Rossini in the overture to The Barber of Seville, technical virtuosity and expressive range in Mendelssohn’s violin concerto (with Hungarian violinist Júlia Pusker making her UAENO debut as the soloist), and the richness of a full Brahms symphony. Umberto Clerici conducts.

The programme:

Rossini: Overture to The Barber of Seville
Mendelssohn: Violin Concerto in E Minor
Brahms: Symphony No.2
