Beauty and the Beast: dir Gary Trousdale, Kirk Wise (1991)

A tale as old as time gets the Disney treatment, with added lustre from a newly restored print of this family-friendly animation: the beast (an enchanted prince, of course) tries to win the love of the young and beautiful Belle with the help of the caste’s enchanted staff (who have been transformed into a fetching collection of utensils and tableware). Great script, good songs, and another fine free pick from the Cinema Space programmers.
