Felipe Ortiz: Lugares

18 May 2025 @ 8.00 pm10.00 pm
Free

A night of unique improvised theatre with Felipe Ortiz, an acclaimed performer from Colombia – founding member of La Gata Circo and Picnic Impro, teacher of circus techniques, clowning and theatre improvisation at the Javeriana University in Bogotá, touring around the world since 2003 with different projects and collaborations, and generally a leading voice in physical and visual improv. Recently he also became a pilates instructor and has been studying a movement training programme.

Lugares (“Places”) begins with a simple question to the audience: tell us about a room or a place that means something to you. From there, Felipe weaves a spontaneous, physical, and deeply human journey through memory, imagination and space – transforming a single suggestion into a rich theatrical world.

Says the Courtyard: “Touching, playful and utterly unpredictable, Lugares invites you to see how the places we hold in our hearts can become the starting point for something magical”.

As always at the Courtyard it’s free, but you need to put your name on the guestlist (via the website) – it’s first-come first-served, so get there early enough to grab a seat.
