Three short films that reflect diverse visions and experiences from around the world, presented with Cineolio founder and film director Nawaf Al Janahi:

Frog: dir Jung-In Kim (South Korea, 2011: 15 mins) The story of a young girl who dreams of becoming a flight attendant but is confronted with the reality that she has ugly fingers.

Ahmed Goes to the Garden: dir Ahmed Nabil (Egypt/France, 2024: 14 mins) A personal reflection on the notion of posing in front of a camera in Alexandria’s public gardens.

Speed Dating: dir Meghann Artis (USA, 2014: 11 mins – above) Ava navigates the challenges of dating in the big city in a gorgeously crafted, quirky hybrid of animation and live-action.

After the screening Nawaf Al Janahi will discuss the films and invite the views of the audience.
