Dubai Motorcycle Film Festival 2024

The Dubai Motorcycle Film Festival – a filmic celebration of al fresco motoring with handlebars – returns for its fourth iteration, promising “the best dramatic, documentary and short films that reveal the passion of riders and the soul behind riding motorcycles”. Hosted as ever by its progenitor and Warehouse Four’s main man Ian Carless (TV director, former MTV producer, long-time motorcycle rider) it features a Bikers BBQ by DMFF & Café Rider from 5pm onwards, with films starting at 7.30pm.

Screenings:

The Piston King (UAE: 12 mins) Dubai premiere of a short documentary from Mazen Alhaj Salem about the inimitable Marco Möller and his philosophy behind the now sadly defunct MOTO Rauch & Staub

From Sand To Salt (UAE: 40 mins) Tom Richardson documentary about Vendetta Racing’s Alan Boyter and his quest to build a bike that will take a land speed record on the Bonneville salt flats. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Alan Boyter.

La Petite Moto Rouge (France: 5 mins) Hugo Bordes’ portrait of French motorcyclist, Evangeline Bastide-Blatz – “a personal love letter to motorcycles, which has helped shape who I am today”.

The Great Malle Mountain Rally (UK: 12 mins) A celebration of the wildest landscapes in the greatest mountain range in Europe – a hundred bikes, six countries and 2,000 km in six days, riding from Austria to Monaco.

While We’re Here (USA: 9 mins) After the sudden loss of his longtime partner, dirt bike rider Aaron McClintock found that his bond with his bike took on a much deeper significance …

Long Live the Kings (France: 7 mins) Directed by Clement Beauvais, this film follows three friends from Blitz Motorcycles on an incredible roadtrip, all captured on Super 16mm film.
