Gypsy Kings

The Gipsy Kings have been around since the 1970s, bringing the sounds of progressive pop-oriented flamenco music to a worldwide audience selling more than 14 million of their ‘new flamenco’ albums around the globe (their ninth studio album, Savor Flamenco , won the Grammy for Best World Music Album in 2013, and there have been a couple more since) The remaining two original members –Nicolas Reyes and Tonino Baliardo – still work together but often record and tour separately, albeit still using the Gypsy Kings name; this concert is the Gypsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes. You can still expect terrific gitane guitar playing and the exciting new flamenco they have made their own, with original compositions and clever reworkings.
