DESCRIPTION:The Dubai-based Canadian artist’s third solo show is a series of her signature abstracts\, featuring striking use of colour and aiming to leave the viewer with “feelings of exaltation\, elation and joyousness”. Says the artist: “the remedy for self-fixation – the I\, Me\, Mine syndrome – is to lose oneself in self-transcendence … The name ‘Euphoria’ is meant as an irony for the quick-fix exaltation generation we are part of … I am presenting an alternate possibility through my art”. \nTo 10 December.
